Customer Support Representative

  • Front line support via live chat and telephones.
  • Troubleshooting a variety of technical and non-technical issues customers are having with their web hosting plans and services.
  • Provide technical support for level one to two issues via helpdesk.
  • Performs other job-related duties as needed.
Required Skills:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language.
  • Ability to work well with a team in a fast paced, constantly changed environment and follow instructions from supervisors and senior colleagues.
  • Outstanding customer service skills and a dedication to the customer service experience.

  • Knowledge of FTP, DNS, cPanel and WHM preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet specific goals set by supervisors and management.
  • Experience with documenting procedures.
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic web hosting and technical procedures as needed.

Job Description:

Technical Support Engineer

Part of a team that provides escalated issue support to our customers, including issues on our large shared infrastructure, VPS containers, and dedicated servers.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrating the ability to diagnose complex customer application issues and provide quick and accurate solutions within a collaborative environment.
  • Taking ownership of issues from identification through resolution.
  • Providing technical support for Level I-III issues via helpdesk and the telephone.
  • Providing fellow system administrators and support representatives with technical support and guidance.
  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining services such as Linux, Apache, MySQL, and Exim.
Required Skills:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language.
  • Ability to work well with a team in a fast paced, constantly changed environment and follow instructions from supervisors and senior colleagues.
  • Outstanding customer service skills and a dedication to the customer service experience.
  • Dependable to be at work during assigned shifts and to complete work as expected.
  • Ability to debug and troubleshoot scripting languages such as PHP, bash, and Perl.
Desired Skills:
  • Advanced knowledge of the cPanel/WHM control panel.
  • Advanced knowledge of the Linux operating system.
  • Knowledge of bash and perl shell scripting.
  • Advanced knowledge of Apache, MySQL, and Exim.
  • Flexible schedule.

Job Description:

Windows Server Administrator

A Windows server administration position. All hardware is remote and will not be on any Active Directory domain. Knowledge of standard Web applications is a must.

  • Monitor all Windows servers for performance issues and stability concerns.
  • Administer web users and hosting accounts.
  • Regular application installations, configurations, and day-to-day administration.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues as they arise.
  • Work with Apache and the latest version of IIS on a daily basis to support customers and ensure maximum uptime.
  • Staying familiar with new versions of applications used on servers.
  • Working with and troubleshooting all of the following, including, but not limited to: SMTP, SNMP, SNTP, POP, FTP, SSL, SSH, HTTP, HTTPS, telnet, SFTP, DNS, RDP, TCP, ICMP, and UDP.
  • Use knowledge of each of the above listed technologies as related to the issue at hand.
  • Use and maintain zone file for name servers.
  • Work with basic applications and their ports: backup, MSSQL, MySQL.
  • Setup and maintain Open Database Connectivity.
  • Understannds Microsoft Azure
  • Work with, troubleshoot, and diagnose ASP, ASP.NET, PHP, CGI, and Perl languages.
  • Document issues and associated resolutions to problems.
Required Skills:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language.
  • Two or more years of Microsoft Web Server administration.
  • Willing and able to cover other shifts if needed.
  • Dependable to be at work during assigned shifts and to complete work as expected.
  • Ability to work well with a team in a fast paced, constantly changed environment and follow instructions from supervisors and senior colleagues.
  • Experience with documenting procedures.
  • Experience with a web hosting control panel.
  • Experience with Plesk Onyx and later is a plus, but not required.
  • Experience with cPanel is a plus, but not required.
  • Be willing to work with latest Windows Server and other technologies we implement.
